CONGRATULATIONS TO THE CHARGER HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL TEAM,
TEXAS INDEPENDENTS BOWL CHAMPIONS!
November 12 & 14 was the first Texas Independents Bowl, showcasing four fine independent six-man football teams. All teams played hard and are to be congratulated! The Chargers were victorious in a 60-25 win Saturday night at Hohlt Park in Brenham. This was a great event that we hope to repeat with more teams next year. Special awards were given to Bryan Walker, Outstanding Leadership Award; Andrew Kiesle, Outstanding Special Teams Player; Stephen Ash, Outstanding Offensive Player; Barak Cloe, Outstanding Defensive Player; and John Kamas, tournament MVP.
The JV team has ended their season with an outstanding 9-2 record, and look forward to a fine varsity season next year.
