Congratulations to our VEX Robotics Team!
Our first Centex Chargers VEX Robotics Team made it to the finals at both of their competitions, which were held in Killeen in December '17 and January '18. The competition included teams all the way from San Antonio and Dallas. Congratulations to Adam, Ashton, Maddon and Jack!
If you are intereted in VEX Robotics, visit vexrobotics.com. We did VEX IQ (which is ideal for elementary/middle school ages) and the team had a great experience. For IQ, each team has to build and code their robot to complete specified actions in order to earn points. If you are interested in starting a VEX IQ team and would like more information on what it entails, you may contact Laura Bonnet at firstname.lastname@example.org. It wasn't hard but ideally you need sponsorship to help with fees and robotics kit/gameboard...either that or charge a participation fee to help cover the costs.
More information to come in the fall if new teams and/or openings are available. In the meantime, if you are interested in sponsoring, coaching or participating on a team, please use the "contact us" link on the left.
In the 2016-2017 school year we sponsored our very first robotics team with the First Lego League. The team name is the Techno M.A.S.H. Bots. League teams are limited to ten members.
We are sponsoring another robotics team with VEX Robotics for the 2017-2018 school year.
Robotics teams are started by interested parents who recruit their own team members. At this time, there is no open registration.
If you would like more information about starting additional robotics teams, send us an email at the "Contact Us" link.
We currently have a great deal of interest in robotics teams, but we need coach sponsors for these teams. If you are interested in coaching, please let us know by using the "Contact Us" link on the left.
